15-06, 16-06 and 17-06

A twister of travel, sleep and getting ready for more travel. There really isn't much to say. Except I'm glad it's over.

Text message day 5, 6 and 7:

Friday .(Day 5) -- Arrived in Zwolle between 17.00 and 18.00 Hours. Had dinner with my parents, then went home to my apartment to catch my breath. Finally, got the suitcase ready for the next trip.

Saturday (Day 6) --Took care of the last the last details and then took the train to Eindhoven. Had dinner with Esther and Jan, prior to hiting the sack.

Sunday (Day 7) -- First went to church and then headed for the airport. The flight was delayed, but other that, trouble free. Our first stop was the camping where we would be staying. There, we went to the beach, had dinner and watched Holland's soccer game against Portugal. What a rubbish game. That's it for now. I'm going to hit the sack.

New City, New Mood

The mood is different here from Paris. Everything feels opener and bigger. (For the record, the airport is not inside the town.) The trees are also different, higher and more if to say 'welcome to africa's doorstep.'

Traffic Lights:

A word from the wise: Obeying the traffic lights is NOT optional in Barcelona. Do NOT ignore them. You try, you die.

Text message Day 8:

We started by visiting the Sacra Familia. After that, we visited a park that was also desinged by Gaudi. Back at the camping, we visited the beach again. And dinner consisted of a take away pizza with coke and ice cream.

The Frying Pan....

Today, the sun spent most the time hidden behind the clouds. But the city is still hot. Only rain will have the temprature drop. And before you wish for that, buy a rowing boat. Because if you get what you wish for, you're going to need it.

Text message Day 9:

Visited the FC Barcelona stadium (Camp Nou) today. Very big and very cool. After that, we visited a very big warehouse. Alas, I couldn't find anything nice to buy. Dinner was chicken wings, with beans and rice.

....And the fire.

Spent an hour sunbathing, while the UV force reading was at level 10. Au ! My next book will probably be titled 'My life as a lobster' Au ! Au ! Au ! This will be one painfull night.

Text message Day 10

Went to La Rambla today. That's a long street full of market stalls that leads to the harbour. First visited the street and then the harbour. After that, had lunch at the camping and then went to the beach. And now I'm as red as a lobster. After the beach, I prepped my suitcase and that was followed by a lazy evening.
